The Collection
This page is a collection of various things I feel have contributed to what defines me and which I would like to share with others. It is a mix of the content which I have found to be exceptionally inspiring, resources which I find useful, and finally, enjoyable things, like food, which I would recommend others.
I list them out here so that I have a reference point and snapshot of the things I have found important in my life. These topics also come up often in daily conversation and having them in one place makes it easy to share them with others.
I hope that this also sparks discussion, whether it be kindred souls who enjoy the same things, or even better, conflicting viewpoints. I am most open to suggestions, so do share if you have something to recommend for me to try!
Inspirations
-
The various publications by the company Basecamp - I have described this to someone as the company I most want to work for (sadly they have no need for my skillset). I am a huge fan of their principles of work and organising a company.

Rework (Book)
-
Signal vs Noise (Blog)

Thinking fast and slow (Book)

Getting things done (Book)
-
The act of giving and the chance of life on a finite planet (Article - Aeon): Both an entertaining read and a great article on consumerism and the environment.
Resources
-
Automate the boring stuff (Python course) - Course I used to gain some background in coding, would recommend it to anyone interested to learn some basics as it is taught in a way easy for an absolute beginner to understand.
-
Htmldog (HTML and CSS course)
-
The Flask Mega Tutorial (Flask course)
Food Recommendations
I am no expert on food, travel, or any other aspect of life. My list comprises things which I have tried and enjoyed enough that I would ask another person to do the same. It is definitely not an objective list of the best things, I will leave that to the true explorers, bloggers, or influencers.
While I do enjoy good food and such, you might find that I am not as discerning or critical as expected. To me, enjoyment depends on the people I am with. Since I try most new things with my wife, each new experience is often positive, since I am there with the best possible company.
If you try something here, do let me know what you think of it! I also invite you to send me your recommendations so that I can go and enjoy them too.
